Get licensed to sell at the 23rd Street Artists Market
The 23rd Street Artists’ Market is Austin’s original open-air artists’ market for artists to make and sell their own work. Licensed artists sell their handcrafted art year round, 7 days a week. The Dougherty Arts Center hosts membership meetings of the 23rd Street Artists’ Market on the third Wednesday of each month. TO GET YOUR LICENSE: Come to the monthly Artists’ Meeting, held every 3rd Wednesday at 7 p.m at the Dougherty Arts Center located at 1110 Barton Springs Rd., between S. Lamar and S. First. The December meeting will be held on the 2rd Wednesday.
All of your work must be handmade by you and sold by you. No kits are allowed.

Bring to your appointment:
1. Photo ID
2. Texas Sales And Use Tax Permit that you get for free from the Texas Comptroller. Apply online at www.windows.state.tx.us/taxpermit/. Allow 2-3 weeks to receive your permit.
3. Samples of your work.
4. License fee payable in cash or money order.
5. A maximum of 2 people may share a license. Both people must attend to be included on the license. If 2 people are on the same license, both must participate in creating the products sold in your booth.
